First introduced in the video games Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. Since their initial appearance they have appeared in both Pokémon GO and the Pokémon Trading Card Game, as well as various merchandise related to the franchise.
Conception and design
[edit]Tandemaus and Maushold are a pair of mouse-like Pokémon. Unlike most Pokémon, the pair are made up of multiple individuals, with Tandemaus consisting of a pair of Pokémon.[1][2] When Tandemaus evolves into Maushold, Maushold gains either one or two children, nicknamed "Family of Three" and "Family of Four", respectively. Maushold's Family of Three form is more rare than its Family of Four form.[3] They have been noted for their battling power, with Maushold's "Population Bomb" attack causing high damage in comparison to other attacks.[4][5][6]
