- Comment: You did not make any changes from the last time this was reviewed. You need to add more reliable sources that establish the subjects notability. Ref #1 is for an award that the subject won which would fall under promotional and not a secondary source. Ref #3 is also a WP:PASSINGMENTION that he won an award. And ref #5 looks like it was written by the subject himself and is also promotional. It also lacks the formal tone that an article should have. Tamzid Rahman (Bengali: তামজিদ রহমান) is a Bangladesh Social Entrepreneur & Health Activist known for his advocacy and actions towards his goal of a 0% mortality ratio due to lack of blood transfusion in Bangladesh.[1]
At the age of 15, he founded his organization BloodLink, which is Bangladesh’s first peer-to-peer blood donation mobile app.[2] His app helps connect blood donors to recipients, online, completely free of cost.[2]
Career
[edit]In early 2022, Tamzid received a $250 Mini-Grant from Peace First, which allowed him to establish The Plenty Project[3] where he organized a Mental Health Workshop at Dhaka's St. Joseph Higher Secondary School, hosting 150 student participants, alongside counselors and guest speakers.[4]
Further he launched two awareness e-books - on menstrual hygiene and cyber safety for teenagers from this organization.[4]
At the age of 15, Tamzid founded the 'BloodLink Foundation'[1] where his mobile app helps connect blood donors to recipients, online, completely free of cost.[2][5]
He has scaled his blood donor database including over 950 active blood donors all around Dhaka.[1] His app has been credited with saving lives of over 500 thalassemia-infected children.[1] He has reached over 1,000 individuals through his speaking engagements in sessions/workshops of different schools, and colleges in Dhaka.[1]
Currently, his organization has over 75 volunteers working across 11-sectors of Dhaka [2] [5] and has reached over 15,000 individuals, in-general.[1]
Tamzid is now a leading child health advocate in Bangladesh officially working with the ICT Ministry, Government of Bangladesh. [1]
Honors & Awards
[edit]Tamzid won the Glocal Teen Hero Bangladesh 2023 organized by Global Pvt. Ltd.[4] He's also the winner of Bangabandhu International Cyber Security Awareness Award 2023 by UNDP Bangladesh and ICT Ministry of Bangladesh Government.[3]
