TF Value-Mart is a Malaysian retail company that operates a chain of hypermarkets in Malaysia, and is currently headquartered in Petaling Jaya, Selangor. It currently operates 41 stores, primarily in northern Malaysia.
History
[edit]In 1998, the Low family purchased two abandoned theatres in Bentong, converting one into a warehouse, with the other being converted into the first TF Value-Mart location.[1]
In 2016, the Low family sold the company to Singapore-based private equity firm KV Asia Capital Pte Ltd. In December 2020, following a management buyout financed by British investment firm Intermediate Capital Group, the company now owns a stake in the company through Asia Fund IV.[1]
