T&I Credit Union is a member-owned financial institution located in Clawson, Michigan. This credit union offers consumer based products and services, such as, deposits and loans.

History

Originally organized as "Ford Birmingham Credit Union" in 1955. The credit union was formed by twelve Ford Tractor employees in Birmingham Michigan. The credit union would change it's name multiple times after members votes over the following decades: [2]

  • December 1960: T AND I Division Credit Union
  • April 1962: T&I Division Credit Union
  • March 1987 (Current Name): T&I Credit Union

T&I Credit Union was initially established as a credit union for Ford Tractor employees and family members. Overtime, the credit union would expand it's field of membership to anyone that lives, works, or worships in one of the following Michigan counties:[2]

  • Lapeer
  • Livingston
  • Macomb
  • Oakland
  • St. Clair
  • Washtenaw
  • Wayne

The credit union was featured on a segment a local wedding show on WXYZ Detroit (Channel 7 abc) in 2019.[3]
