Swami Nirvanananda (May 10, 1890 – April 6, 1984) was a monk of the Ramakrishna Order. He is noted for his dedication to the principles of spiritual discipline and service promoted by Sri Ramakrishna, Sarada Devi, and Swami Vivekananda.

Early life

He was born Girindra Kumar Sen on May 10, 1890, in Palang, now located in Bangladesh. He was drawn to spirituality at an early age and later joined the Ramakrishna Order to pursue a monastic life.
