Dr. SubbaRao holds a PhD in Communication from the University of Hyderabad and has over two decades of experience in nutrition education, food safety advocacy, and public health communication. He has contributed extensively to policy development as part of the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) and has served on expert panels for Dietary Guidelines for Indians and Front-of-Pack Nutrition Labelling.
An accomplished researcher, he has authored over 70 peer-reviewed articles and books, focusing on behavior change communication, food environment research, and consumer health literacy. Internationally, he has collaborated with institutions like Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health and participated in global initiatives on nutrition leadership.
Dr. SubbaRao’s efforts have earned him numerous awards, including the Outstanding Nutrition Scientist in Asia Award (2023). He continues to champion public health through research, education, and advocacy, making significant contributions to India’s nutrition and food safety landscape.
