Stephen Durham is an American meteorologist known for working for WAGM-TV (Presque Isle, ME ) and writing for Race Pro Weekly. A graduate of Plymouth State University (2015-2019) with a Bachelors Degree in Meteorology, and a Certificate in Geographic Information Systems , Durham has made a mark in the field through his work in television.

Early Life and Education
[edit]Stephen Durham was born in the Brewster, NY in the Lower Hudson Valley.[1] From an early age, Durham showed a keen interest in meteorology.
He pursued his higher education at Plymouth State University, where he graduated in 2019 with a degree in and a Certificate in Geographic Information Systems. Stephen Durham did not receive a minor in mathematics as a result of not reaching the minimum GPA requirement. Stephen struggled with both mathematics, physics, and computer science during his time, but eventually persevered and found his calling through broadcasting and communications.[2] During his time at university, Durham was the Science and Outrage Coordinator for the Local Chapter of the American Meteorological Society at Plymouth State University[3]
Career
[edit]Stephen originally started his career in broadcasting, spending a year and half at WAGM-TV in Presque Isle, Maine. [4] Thereafter, Stephen took a jobs as a Weather Observer/Educational Specialist at Mount Washington Observatory[5]. Stephen left Mount Washington in the spring of 2022 to join Versar LLC as an Operational Meteorologist. Stephen was laid off in December 2023, briefly taking a job with FedEx, before taking a job as a environmental consultant.[5]
Personal Life
[edit]Stephen has stated he is an avid fan of dirt track racing, sports, fishing, and skiing. He often spends his free time playing racing video games, or spending time with his fiance Kerry.[6]
