St. Mary Boys High School Kibabii, also known as Kibaii High School or Kiba is a national school in western Kenya. It is located in Bungoma county, Kanduyi constituency, Tuuti Marakaru location, Kibabii Sublocation next to Kibabii University on the Bungoma-Chwele Road.[1] The community complex features several notable schools such as Cardinal Otunga Girls, Kibabii University, and Kibabii Diploma Teacher Training College.
History
[edit]Kibabii High School was set up by the Hill Mill fathers in Kibabii, next to the St. Mary Kibabii Parish and the Bungoma Bishop's residence. It has been operational from the year 1952 and was originally run by the church before it became a public school.[1]
School emblem
[edit]The school emblem features a book and two lit candles in with the school name. Below the school name is the Latin motto, Orare Et laborare.
Academics
[edit]Kibabii High School is categorized as an Extra-County, which accepts students who do well in the Kenya Certificate of Primary Education examination nationwide. It has consistently performed well in the national Exams Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education over the years.
