Spencer Derry is a British Professional Outsider Artist. He draws mainly through his imagination, as an Autistic, Spencer communicates how he feels and how he views the world through his creative process. Predominantly specialising in drawing and illustration with the medium of ink pen, pencil, acrylic paint and paper.
Spencer's influences include artists: Albrecht Dürer, Salvador Dali, M. C. Esher, Ernst Fuchs, Hans Bellmer and H. R. Giger. Also enjoys music, photography and films that can inspire ideas, which result in depictions and images in his work.
Spencer's art has been sold to many private art collectors, general public and several high profile figures.
He worked with a well-known musician 2014-16, the late Prince.[1] Prince's team requested, hired & commissioned Spencer to create original, official 3rdeyeart illustrations and concept drawings for NPG Records. In 2017, commissioned by Paisley Park for a one-off artwork (unpublished), as run then by Graceland Holdings. He has also created official art for the Fonky Bald Heads and Judith Hill.

Education
[edit]Spencer studied at West Cheshire College in Blacon, gaining BTEC Diploma in Art & Design. He gained a Bachelor of Arts with 2.1 (Hons) University of Lincoln in Hull October 1993 – June 1996 at the Hull School of Art.
Freelance
[edit]Spencer worked with a well-known musician 2014-16, the late Prince.[9] Prince's team requested & commissioned Spencer to create official 3rdeyeart illustrations for Prince's 3rdeyegirl[10] and concept drawings for NPG Records and Paisley Park.[11] Spencer's artwork can be seen on Prince's tunic on his last single artwork called Free Urself.[12] on 30th September 2015. In 2017, commissioned by Paisley Park for a one-off artwork, as run then by Graceland Holdings. Spencer has also created official art for the Fonky Bald Heads[13] and Judith Hill[14]
