SpatialGen is a video streaming company based in Houston, Texas, which delivers high-resolution and spatial video content, including support for 16K, MV-HEVC formats,[1] and immersive video such as 180° and 360° video.[2]

History

SpatialGen was founded in 2023 by Zachary Handshoe and Michael Butterfield. [3]

In June 2024, SpatialGen streamed a live broadcast for The Talk Show Live at Apple’s Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) 2024, in MV-HEVC.[4]

High-Resolution and Spatial Streaming

SpatialGen supports streaming resolutions up to 16K. The platform supports 180° and 360° immersive video, making it compatible with VR devices, including the Apple Vision Pro and Meta Quest series. SpatialGen supports the MV-HEVC codec.[5]
