History

Formation and Early Years (2014-2015)

Slumbug is a three-piece sludge metal and stoner metal band hailing from Auckland, New Zealand. Formed in 2014, the band consists of guitarist and vocalist Donny Paton, bassist Lucy Eldby, and drummer Carla Tinsley. The band quickly gained attention for their heavy, detuned riffs, hard-hitting drums, and shrieking vocals, with some punk elements adding to their unique sound.

Consistent Lineup and Growth (2015-present)

Since their official inception in 2015, Slumbug has maintained a consistent lineup, contributing to their tight-knit sound and cohesive musical direction. Over the years, they have opened for numerous international acts, including Eyehategod, Sasquatch, and Church of Misery, solidifying their presence in the metal scene.

Debut Album (2025)
