Six Impala is a collaborative music collective formed in June 2017. Their approach to electronic music is experimental and blend narrative-driven concepts with eclectic production styles. The group comprises five members: KaTT, underscores, SCRIPT, HELVETICAN, and NEUTRA (who joined in 2020).

History

[edit]

Six Impala originated as an experimental music project among close collaborators. The founding members—KaTT, underscores, SCRIPT, and HELVETICAN—focused on creating concept-driven electronic music that merged diverse genres, from glitch-hop to future bass.

In 2020, the collective expanded to include NEUTRA, further diversifying their sound. The addition of NEUTRA coincided with the release of their sophomore album, WFLYTD'.

Musical Style and Influence

[edit]

The collective’s music is deeply rooted in the intersection of electronic and experimental pop. They often use unconventional structures and integrate a variety of influences, such as hip-hop, ambient, and chiptune. Their debut album, RUBBER (2019), showcased a blend of music and narrative, telling one cohesive story across its tracks. This concept-album style has become a defining trait of their work.
