Simone Scaglia (born 12 June 2004) is an Italian professional footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for Serie C club Juventus Next Gen, the U23 team of Juventus FC.[1]
Club Career
[edit]Scaglia was called up to the Juventus squad to play Lazio on 13 November 2022, the last match before the break ahead of the World Cup in Qatar. He did not play in the match.[2]
On Jul 1, 2023, Scaglia was called up to the Juventus Next Gen squad for the 23/24 season, in which he played 5 games.
On Feb 2, 2024, Scaglia was called up to play for Juventus again, due to Mattia Perin's knee injury. this time for a 0-1 defeat to Udinese.[3][4][5]
Due to injury, Scaglia has been unavaliable for many games for Juventus Next Gen and has fallen down the hiercarchy. For the 24/25 season, he has been benched due to the playing of Giovanni Daffara.[6]
