Sikandar (lit. 'Sikandar') is an upcoming Indian Hindi-language action thriller film, directed by AR Murugadoss and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala's Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment. The film stars Salman Khan in the titular role, alongside Sathyaraj, Rashmika Mandanna, Kajal Aggarwal, Sharman Joshi, Prateik Patil Babbar, and Kishore.
The film was officially announced in March 2024 by Salman Khan and the official title was revealed in April 2024. Principal photography began in June 2024 in Mumbai, followed by another schedule in Hyderabad. The film features music composed by Pritam, and cinematography by Tirru.
Sikandar is scheduled to be released worldwide on Eid 2025.

Production
[edit]In December 2022, Murugadoss reportedly met Sivakarthikeyan and discussed a story. The story was speculated to be the same as the director narrated to Vijay, which fell through owing to creative differences between the two. Production was reported to begin in 2023 as Sivakarthikeyan had completed most of his prior commitments. During Murugadoss' production venture August 16 1947's audio launch in 2023, Sivakarthikeyan hinted about his collaboration with the director. That March, Murugadoss confirmed the project. Shortly after the announcement of this film, Salman Khan announced his collaboration with Murugadoss on his social media handles. The title Sikandar was unveiled in April 2024. Principal photography for the film began in June 2024, with significant portions shot in Mumbai and Hyderabad. A major highlight of the film is a massive train set designed for an action sequence.
The film's music is composed by Pritam, with cinematography handled by Tirru, and the film is produced under Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment.
Release
