Shriidhar Dubey[1]' (aka Shree Dhar Dubey & Shreedhar Dubey) is an Indian actor working predominantly in Hindi films, television and web-series. He trained in BNA (Bharatendu Natya Akademi) and NSD[2] (National School of Drama) before entering films with the black comedy crime film Gangs of Wasseypur (2012) and partly-fictional Shudra the Rising [3](2012). He gained recognition from the independent drama Masaan[4] (2015), followed by Raat Akeli Hai (2020) and Physics Wallah[5] (2022). He was nominated[6] for the best supporting actor-male for Raat Akeli Hai (2020) by OTT Film Awards in 2021 and gained popularity[7] with the web series Physics Wallah (2022) on Amazon.
Early Life and Education
[edit]Shriidhar was born in Varanasi,[8] U.P. on the 20th of November. His ancestral home is in Gorakhpur. Due to the moving nature of his father's employment, he was educated in different cities in eastern, western and central U.P. After graduating in commerce from Shri Jai Narain PG College (KKC) in Lucknow,[9] and participating in NCC (National Cadet Corps) and NSS (National Service Scheme), he commenced towards films.
Career
[edit]Shriidhar began his acting journey with over 400 street plays (nukkad natak[4]) on many public interest subjects, moving on to Mansh Kriti and Darpan Theatre Group plays to later do realistic and then main cinema. He also works as a dialogue and acting coach[10] and casting director with writing for films and OTT.
