Fountain of Memory

[edit]

On September 28, 2019, Shehara released Fountain of Memory, which is recognized as the first metal album by a female artist in Sri Lanka. The album features eight original tracks written by Shehara, with compositions and recordings by Tennyson Napoleon. The release has been noted as a milestone in Sri Lanka’s metal scene, which has traditionally been male-dominated.[2]

Music Videos

In August 2020, Shehara released a music video for "Loved for Eternity," followed by "Fidelity" in January 2021. In October 2022, she released a video for "B-RUN-CH," a track from Fountain of Memory. The video was directed by Zim Zimmy, a director who has worked with artists including Devin Townsend.[3]

Entrepreneurship

[edit]

In May 2020, Shehara launched "Shehara – Sri Lankan Music," an online platform aimed at promoting Sri Lankan metal musicians and other artists. The platform serves as a marketplace for music and merchandise, aiming to support artists financially and expand the visibility of Sri Lankan music internationally.[4]
