The Shakuntalam ITI[4] is a private industrial training institute located in Sasaram, Rohtas, Bihar and established in 2009.[5] The institution provides vocational education and training in various trades under the guidelines of the National Council for Vocational Training (NCVT). The institute offers two Industrial Training Certificate programs, including Electrician and Fitter.

Infrastructure

[edit]

The institute has a smart board facility, computer lab with digital resources and specialized laboratories for each trade, containing the necessary machines and tools for hands-on training. Administrative offices are situated centrally to handle student services and institutional operations.

Academics

[edit]

The curriculum is designed to align with industry standards, combining theoretical instruction with hands-on training. Courses typically span two years,[6] culminating in an Industrial Training Certificate upon successful completion.[7] The institute regularly updates its syllabus to reflect current industry practices and technological advancements, ensuring that students are well-prepared for employment in their respective trades.

Shakuntalam ITI provides a combination of classroom learning and practical workshops, offering students the opportunity to gain experience in simulated work environments. Assessments are conducted through a combination of internal evaluations and external examinations overseen by the NCVT.
