Serving House Books is an international small press that publishes fiction, poetry, creative nonfiction, and art. The press was founded in 2009 by Walter Cummins of New Jersey and Thomas E. Kennedy of Copenhagen. The catalogue has over 125 books in print from authors from various countries.[1]
Several titles have been award winning books of historical fiction.[2] Critically acclaimed authors include Donna Baier-Stein, Peter Selgin, Linda Lappin, Ronna Wineberg, and Don Zancanella. Ronna Winberg's collection Artifacts and Other Stories was winner of the 2024 Short Story Fiction Award. [3]
Claire Bateman[4] was the first author published by the press.
The press is currently located in Raleigh, North Carolina. William K. Lawrence is the new chief publisher.[5]
