Serpil Odabaşı is an independent artist based in Toronto. She works with both analog and digital media through drawing, painting, and illustration.

Odabaşı completed her Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) at Gazi University in Ankara. She worked as an art teacher for 10 years at several high schools across Turkey. She also studied through the Graphic Design Program at the Toronto Film School in 2015.

During her 15-year career as an artist in Turkey and Canada, she participated in several human rights campaigns. Her work at the time often focused on themes such as violence, sexism, racism, women’s rights, and conflict. Her art is well-known for its unique style portraying various phenomena in a critical, insightful, and often ironic way.

Odabaşı's artwork has been included in over 30 exhibitions across many cities such as London, Frankfurt, Istanbul, Athens, Ankara, Diyarbakir, Izmir, and Toronto. Odabaşı has designed many book and magazine cover illustrations, as well as posters for theatre and film festivals.

She currently engages in artistic designs for books, albums, magazines, festivals, movies and other works of literature, cinematography, and music.
