Sara Matsui (born 2010) is a Japanese karter.[1] She is a member of the Williams Driver Academy.[2]

Karting[edit]
2023[edit]
Matsui first entered the international stage of karting at the end of 2023, as she contested the final round of the Karting Academy Program in the UAE. She finished the event in 7th, placing her in 8th place in the overall standings in the newly formed OK-NJ category.[3][4]
2024[edit]
Matsui embarked on a full European campaign in 2024, upon her arrival at Williams. First she drove in the WSK Champions Cup, where she impressed by finishing 6th in her first competitive European race.[5] Matsui then joined the WSK Super Master Series, and put in an incredible result of 2nd place on her debut in the championship, which ultimately counted for little in the championship as inconsistency led her to a 10th placed finish in the standings.[6]
Formula One[edit]
In early 2024, Matsui was signed by the Williams Driver Academy after impressing the academy in karts. She joined alongside FRECA driver Alessandro Giusti.[7][8]
