The San Francisco City Cats Basketball Team is a professional basketball team based in San Francisco, California. The team is a member of the American Basketball Association (ABA) and has a rich history in the San Francisco sports scene. The City Cats name is derived from the cool and hip culture of San Francisco in the 60s and 70s, where people from the city were known as "those Cats." The team embraces a feline theme, representing all types of cats from domestic house cats to the "King of the Jungle."

The San Francisco City Cats play their home games at Chabot College Gym in Hayward, California. The team has a dedicated roster of talented and professional players who are considered the best in the Bay Area. The City Cats have a strong community and corporate partnership, with a supportive fan base and sponsors.

Throughout its history, the San Francisco City Cats have been successful in the ABA and have won numerous championships. The team has a strong identity and is a staple in the local basketball scene, drawing fans from the Bay Area to support them in their games.
