Saeedullah Safi (born 2000) is an Afghan journalist, co-founder of The Afghan Times and a member of the International Sports Press Association (AIPS). Safi has also worked as a journalist for The Irish Times.[1][2][3][4][5]

Saeedullah Safi was born and raised in Afghanistan. He developed an early interest in journalism and pursued studies in the field.

Career

Safi's career in journalism has been marked by covering sports and other key issues in Afghanistan. As a co-founder of The Afghan Times, he played a role in establishing the publication as a source of news for Afghan readers.[6]

In addition to his work with The Afghan Times, Safi became a member of the International Sports Press Association (AIPS).[7]

Work with The Irish Times

After fleeing Afghanistan in 2022 due to the deteriorating security situation, Safi resettled in Ireland. In Ireland, he continued his journalism career by contributing to The Irish Times, one of the country's leading newspapers[8]
