The Russo-Tlingit War were a series of armed conflicts between the Russian Empire and Tlingit Natives of Western Alaska. The war was fought over control of Sitka Island (Modern day Baranof Island), and all of Southeast Alaska from Yakutat Bay to the Southern tip of Prince of Wales Island.
