The RuBisCo Stars was a 2009 interstellar radio message to consisting of the genetic sequence for the Photosynthesis-causing protein RuBisCO. It was arranged by the artist Joe Davis and sent from the Arecibo Observatory on November 7–8, 2009, to commemorate the 35th anniversary of the Arecibo message.
The message repeated three times, aimed three stars: GJ 83.1, Teegarden's Star, and Kappa1 Ceti.
The message will arrive at its three destinations in the year XXXX, making it the first of known human interstellar radio messages to reach its target.
