"Rouge" is the sixth episode of the fourteenth series of the British science fiction television programme Doctor Who. It was written by Kate Herron and Briony Redman and directed by Ben Chessell. It was released on BBC iPlayer and Disney+ on 8 June 2024 and broadcast on BBC One later the same day. It stars Ncuti Gatwa as the Fifteenth Doctor, and Millie Gibson as his companion Ruby Sunday.

[edit]The episode stars Ncuti Gatwa and Millie Gibson as the Fifteenth Doctor and Ruby Sunday respectively. Susan Twist appears in a different role, as in all previous episodes of the series. In this episode she plays the Portrait.[1]

[edit]"Rouge" was first released in the United Kingdom on BBC iPlayer on 8 June 2024 followed by a broadcast on BBC One later in the day. Disney+ released the episode simultaneously in the United States on 7 June 2024. Disney also handled international distribution of the episode outside of the United Kingdom and Ireland.[2]
In early May of 2024, Jonathan Groff was confirmed to appear in the episode in an unknown role.[3][4][5] It was rumoured that the Groff would replace John Barrowman as Captain Jack Harkness.[6][7][8] The character was later revealed to be the titular character Rouge.[9]
