Ron Kurimsky Jr. (Coach K.) is a former four-sport athlete and a graduate of Coastal Carolina University. His football journey began at Rush Henrietta High School (NY), where he played receiver and safety, helping the team achieve a 21-0-1 record and reach back-to-back championship games. He earned an NCAA scholarship to California State University, PA, where he won a PSAC championship under the guidance of Coach Jeff Petrucci, who is also renowned for coaching NFL Hall of Famer Joe Montana.
After a series of knee injuries, Ron transitioned to coaching, making significant contributions to programs such as Cal-State Northridge (Big West Champs), Crespi Carmelite HS (faced 3 nationally ranked opponents), Fairport HS (state champions), St. John Fisher University (national rankings & empire 8 championships) and a League Championship at East HS. His professional experience and development extends to the NFL, where he was invited to the National Football Scouting (NFS) combine in the 90s as a receiver, he spoke at a NY Jets training camp, and attended position meetings and on-field practices during Buffalo Bills training camps.
As Defensive Coordinator for the professional indoor football league “Rochester Raiders” of the CIFL, Coach K’s defense played a key role in securing a conference championship while developing the league's top-ranked receivers and defense. Selected for the All-Star Game, his leadership and expertise led to his being named the Director of Coaching & Player Development for the NYS Gridiron Academy serving over 74 High Schools.
Throughout his career, Ron has mentored and collaborated with former NFL players, including Shaun Williams (UCLA), a Super Bowl starter for the NY Giants. He has also gained invaluable professional development insights from prominent figures such as the Chargers Junior Seau, Rams-Raiders, Roland Williams, Joe Cribbs & Coach Greg Williams (Bills), further refining his coaching philosophy and approach.
Currently, Ron is the Director of Football Operations for Offense-Defense Sports, where he prepares football camps, guides player development and he is also preparing for global outreach initiatives with the introduction of competitive flag football in the 2028 Olympics and the O-D All-American Bowl at AT&T Stadium in Dallas Texas, in 2024.
