Rolling Out Urban Style Weekly is the largest Black-owned, free print urban publication in the country[1] Rolling Out has a monthly millennial readership of 2.8 million and a combined social media following of half-million. In addition to its massive readership, its online platform receives more than 2 million unique views a month.[2] For more than 20 years business mogul Munson Steed [3] has served as the CEO of the publication and its parent company Steed Media Group Inc.[4]

Located in Atlanta, GA, Rolling Out has continued to stay at the forefront of black culture, entertainment, politics, technology and news through compelling magazine features of black entrepreneurs and executives.[5] The publication has also become well-known for its A-list celebrity magazine covers.[6][7][8]

In 2016 Rolling Out and popular urban news site The Grio joined forces to form the Rolling Out Digital Ad Network. Together the network garnered more than 10 million targeted consumers through websites and social media channels with geo-targeting capabilities. This alliance also provided advertisers with a diversified digital platform representing some of the best in news, lifestyle and entertainment content.[9]

Following its 2016 success with the Grio, Rolling Out aligned itself with digital tech giant Digital Remedy in 2017, to create Rolling Out Extend. The partnership created one of the largest addressable markets in urban media extending its consumer reach to over 30 million digital consumers.[10]

Rolling Out CEO Munson Steed took Rolling Out's readership to new heights In 2021 after teaming up with the Black-owned media company BlackBookStore.com, in collaboration with publishing giant Penguin Random House, to launch a historic content partnership called #AmplifyBlackStories with the mission to introduce more stories written by Black authors to a diverse group of readers.[11]

To date, Rolling Out continues to innovate and evolve its business by creating partnerships with major corporations including, Ford, CBS, McDonald’s, American Airlines, Lexus and other Fortune 500 companies.[12] [13]
