The Rink Hockey Club de Lyon, or RHC Lyon is one of the roller sports clubs in the city of Lyon, France.
History
[edit]Founded in 1983 by Jacky Avondo, who presided over it for 33 years[1]. Initially, the club was located in the sixth district of Lyon. It was on the track opposite the lycée du Parc[2] where the club's first successes flourished, including the French Champion N3 title[3].
With the promotion to the National N2 Championship, the club had to change tracks and moved to la Duchère to enjoy a track that was first covered, then enclosed. It is in this venue that the club experienced its most recent successes and trained the players of the current National 1 team.
Despite playing at the highest level, the club struggles to compete with the Breton clubs[4].
Facilities
[edit]The players play in the hall on rue Andrei Sakharov[5]. The track is described as difficult by opposing teams[6].
