Shen Quanrui (Chinese: 沈泉锐; pinyin: Shěn Quánruì; born May 20, 2004), known mononymously as Ricky (Korean: 리키), is a Chinese singer based in South Korea and signed under Yuehua Entertainment. He finished fourth in the reality competition show Boys Planet and debuted as a member of the South Korean boy band Zerobaseone in July 2023.
Early life
[edit]Ricky was born on May 20, 2000, in Shanghai, China. He trained for 2 years and 2 months before joining the survival show Boys Planet.
Career
[edit]2022–present: Boys Planet and Zerobaseone
[edit]On December 29, 2022, Ricky was revealed as a contestant on Mnet's reality competition show Boys Planet. Ricky was one of the eight trainees representing Yuehua Entertainment, and performed NCT 127's "Kick It" alongside global trainees Zhang Hao, Ollie and Brian for his first star evaluation on the show.
On April 20, 2023, he placed 4th on Boys Planet, debuting as a member of the South Korean boy band Zerobaseone. The group officially debuted under WakeOne Entertainment with the EP Youth in the Shade on July 10, 2023.
In June, Ricky appeared on Chinese television series Keep Running alongside group member Zhang Hao.
