Riccardo Rossi (born 24 October 1962 in Rome), is an Italian actor, comedian and host of radio and television programs.

Biography

Born in Rome in the Quartiere Flaminio, he began his career by appearing in the film College in 1984,[1] followed by Mamma Ebe in 1985, and Grandi mercatini in 1986. On television he also appeared in many commercials, such as that of Baci Perugina, of Ferrarelle water alongside Natasha Hovey, and was a testimonial, together with Federica Pellegrini, of the electricity company Enel Energia. He is known for playing the role of Mazzocchi in the Italia 1 TV series I ragazzi della 3ª C, around 1986–1987. He also began his television career by participating in Non è la Rai, in which he played Cenerentola, in Forum and in Buona Domenica, programs of the nineties broadcast on the Mediaset networks. He also continued his film career by participating in various films, such as S.P.Q.R. - 2000 e ½ anni fa in 1994. He also took part in the program Nessundorma on Rai 2 as a presenter alongside Paola Cortellesi. In 2003 Rossi also hosted Assolo, a program on LA7 dedicated to comedians. He later also hosted external connections for Quelli che il calcio, on Rai 2.

At the theater he wrote and performed the monologues Pagine Rossi and the sequel La più bella serata della vostra vita. A book was made from these shows, published by Mondadori: Pagine Rossi. Manuale di survival urbana, published in 2004. Other shows include: Per fortuna che c'è Riccardo from 2006, in which he recounted the dates that changed the history of the world, and Stasera a casa Rossi from 2010, where every evening there was a different guest with whom Rossi recalled anecdotes from the past, staging some of his most successful songs. Between 2008 and 2009 he was a regular guest on the Rai Radio 2 radio program Gli Cambiati, with the "Gazzettino di Rossi".

He is one of the authors of Fiorello and participated as a regular guest on the Fiorello Show, broadcast on Sky Uno in 2009–2010. He then continued his career as a presenter, and in 2010 he replaced Massimiliano Ossini as host of the quiz show Are you better than a 5th grader?, broadcast on Cielo. From 2010 to 2014 he was on LA7d in the television program Cuochi e fiamme, hosted by Simone Rugiati, part of the jury together with the food critic Fiammetta Fadda and the food blogger Chiara Maci. In 2011 he hosted on Dove TV Conosco un posticino, a program on the tourist and gastronomic attractions of the various regions of Italy. In 2014 he wrote, starred in and directed his first film which he directed La prima volta (di mia figlia). In the theatre, he has written and performed, starting in 2014, L'amore è un gambero and, since 2017, That's Life.[2] followed by “W le donne” which he took on tour throughout Italy. Since October 2019, he has hosted Battute?, on Rai 2's late night. He created and hosted for Sky and then for Rai the program entirely dedicated to listening to music on record "I miei vinili"

In 2022, he participated in the third edition of Il cantante mascherato under the mask of the Chameleon, coming in third.
