"Red Sun in the Sky" (Chinese: 天上太阳红彤彤; pinyin: tiānshàng tàiyáng hóngtóngtóng) is a Chinese propaganda song created by Tiger Hu in 1992. The song gained popularity for its use in memes and shitposts about communist China, specifically the Chinese Communist Party, Xi Jinping, and Mao Zedong.
The song was released in 1975, but it has become popular among online communities in the Western world since 2021.[1]
