Additionally, he is the President of the Liga ng mga Barangay of Tacloban and the entire Region 8. He regularly conducts Liga General and Regional Assemblies to strengthen barangay ties regionally and promote collaboration among provincial chapter presidents in Region VIII.

During the devastating onslaught of Typhoon Yolanda, Raymund played a vital role in the relief operations and the very successful rise, rehabilitation, and redevelopment of Tacloban. His efforts were recognized by the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) with the “Raymund Romualdez Disaster Preparedness Pillar Award,” highlighting his effective contributions to disaster relief response, recovery, and continuous development of Tacloban City. ^[1]

Raymund Romualdez is the founder of Hiraya, a non-profit organization that supports the youth, the environment, and sports development.
