‘’’Raccoon Tour’’’ is an American Pop Punk band formed in Boise by frontman Nate Burr in 2014.[1] Their debut album, The Dentonweaver, released on I Surrender Records in 2021

History

[edit]

Beginning years (2014-2019)

[edit]

Raccoon Tour was started in Boise when frontman Nate Burr was given a ukulele for Christmas in 2014.[citation needed] Years later, Burr would record Sofarinrunning for a school project. Released under the Raccoon Tour name, the song quickly gained tractions. This would lead to Raccoon Tour being signed by I Surrender Records in 2018.[citation needed]

The Dentonweaver and moving to New Jersey (2019-2023)

[edit]

Soon after being signed to I Surrender Records, Burr began work on the first album.[citation needed] Burr struggled intensively during the making of the album. The album was originally recorded in Twin Falls, Idaho. However, the recording process turned out very sloppy as the recordings were scrapped.[2] However, the label gave Burr a second chance. In 2020, Raccoon Tour entered the studio with producer Brett Romnes.[citation needed] The Dentonweaver was officially released on 2 December 2021 via I Surrender Records. The album received decent reviews from fans and critics alike.

In 2023, Raccoon Tour played their farewell show to Boise, before moving operations. Raccoon Tour officially moved to New Jersey summer of that same year. Since the move to New Jersey, they have played a few shows on the east coast.[citation needed]

Camp Kosmic (2023-Present)

[edit]

On 6 March 2024, Raccoon Tour announced their North American headlining tour.[3] Promotional art for the tour has a different style compared to art before, featuring a camp aesthetic. On 12 April 2024, Raccoon Tour released the single Cactus Song.

Musical Style

[edit]

Many of the bands influences comes from Indie Rock, emo, Pop Punk, Electronic Music, and Skramz.[4]
