Submission declined on 3 September 2024 by SafariScribe (talk). This submission is not adequately supported by reliable sources. Reliable sources are required so that information can be verified. If you need help with referencing, please see Referencing for beginners and Citing sources. This submission's references do not show that the subject qualifies for a Wikipedia article—that is, they do not show significant coverage (not just passing mentions) about the subject in published, reliable, secondary sources that are independent of the subject (see the guidelines on the notability of websites). Before any resubmission, additional references meeting these criteria should be added (see technical help and learn about mistakes to avoid when addressing this issue). If no additional references exist, the subject is not suitable for Wikipedia. Declined by SafariScribe 59 days ago. |
- Comment: Compared to the prior submission, this draft focuses only on in-depth profiles of RTINGS and its history published by independent media.[1][2] It no longer has any cites to RTINGS.com itself or news articles about individual tests done by RTINGS. Thank you for your patience while I better learn Wikipedia's rules. Please see COI disclosure on Talk.DMOkeeffe (talk) 19:22, 17 October 2024 (UTC)
- Comment: This just summarizes the routine activities of the company, it does not summarize what independent reliable sources choose on their own to say about the company and how it is a notable company as Wikipedia defines it.You declared a conflict of interest with this company; if you work for them, you are required by the Terms of Use to make the stricter paid editing disclosure. 331dot (talk) 12:27, 18 September 2024 (UTC)

RTINGS is a review website focused on benchmark testing[1] and data. It rates individual attributes of a product, such as motion blur on a camera.[2] It also publishes the original data from its benchmarks or experiments.[1]
RTINGS was founded in 2011 by Cédric Demers, in his basement, originally as a website that compiled reviews from other websites, similar to Rotten Tomatoes.[1][2] Initially, the website wasn't very successful and the founder was living off his savings from his prior job at Microsoft.[1][2] RTINGS' first original review was a July 2013 review of a Samsung F5300 plasma TV.[2]
As of 2024, RTINGS has reviewed 3,000 products.[1] RTINGS purchases the products itself, in order to avoid bias and to review budget models that are not ordinarily given to reviewers for free.[1][2] It earns a commission when visitors reading a review click a link to buy the product being reviewed.[1] Its business model also includes subscriber fees to access extra features.[1] RTINGS reviews often tops search results for a given product.[2]
