Conditions
[edit]Conditions for contestants to be chosen for Puteri Indonesia:
- Indonesian citizen, aged 18-26 years old, unmarried with a minimum height of 170 cm.
- Regional participants must live in or originate from the region they represent.
- Have a wide span of common knowledge regarding Indonesian tourism and culture.
- Appear attractive/beautiful, be intelligent, and have a strong personality.
- Able to communicate in foreign languages (particularly English) will act as a boon.
- This competition prioritizes those with a specialized skill/accomplishments in a particular field (for example: music, dance, ventriloquy, leadership, language, etc).
Scoring
[edit]The scoring parameters that are used in determining the Puteri Indonesia are the 3Bs, which are:
- Brain: Intelligence
- Beauty: Attractive/interesting appearance
- Behavior: Good actions/demeanor
Other than that, communication skills, rational thinking, strong common knowledge, a high level of social awareness, and experience in tourism also come into play.
