Project World Impact (colloquially PWI; US: /ˌpiːˌdʌbəlˌjuːˌaɪ/) is a United States-based software and digital marketing agency, headquartered in St. Charles, Illinois, United States. The company's product offerings include search engine marketing (SEM), search engine optimization (SEO), web design, web development, consulting, and graphic design.

The company provides services and software specific to non-profit organizations, including CRM software[1], fundraising software for non-profit organizations[2], and mobile applications for iOS[3] and Android[4] devices.

History

[edit]

In 2013, the company was founded by Christopher Lesner, a native of Michigan[5] and graduate of Taylor University[6]. Prior to founding Project World Impact, Lesner had started several small companies while attending high school and college,[7][8] in addition to serving as vice president of Think First Marketing, a digital marketing agency based in Upland, Indiana.[9]

Lesner expressed interest in entrepreneurship at an early age and formed the concept for Project World Impact while in college.[10] The company initially operated out of unused classrooms at Wheaton College, having leased them from the organization for use during the summer months.[11] A number of Wheaton College students worked for the organization during this time.[12] The company's initial offering was software described as a "non-profit hub."[13][14]

As of 2024, the company provides software, digital marketing, consulting services, and Google Ad Grant management to non-profit organizations. The company also provides digital marketing and consulting services to for-profit organizations.[15]

Servant Leadership Podcast

[edit]

In 2024, the company launched a podcast featuring interviews with business leaders and influencers discussing the concept of servant leadership.[16]

Speakers on the podcast have included Horst Schulze, co-founder of The Ritz-Carlton[17]; Jim Estill, CEO of Danby Products Ltd[18]; Stephanie Chung, former president of JetSuite[19]; and Stephen Gyllenhall, American film director and poet[20].
