The Pride of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Awards is an annual recognition ceremony honoring exceptional individuals from the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province of Pakistan. These awards are organized by Directorate of Youth Affairs and Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to celebrate those who have made significant contributions to their respective fields, ranging from social work, entrepreneurship, and philanthropy, to sports, activism, and technology.

The awards aim to highlight the achievements of young leaders who have inspired and impacted their communities and beyond.[1]

At the 2024 ceremony, presented during the 5th Edition of the Metrix Pakistan Youth Summit at the Malakand University , 19 individuals were recognized for their exceptional dedication, leadership, and service to society.[2]

Honorees of the 2024 Pride of KP Award

  • Muhammad Ali Swati – Recognized for his heroic role in the 2023 cable car rescue in Battagram, where he helped save multiple lives. Swati is also known for his philanthropic efforts.

  • Noorena Shams – Celebrated for her achievements in squash, representing Pakistan on the international stage.
  • Raja Ahmed – Honored for his contributions to technology and entrepreneurship in Pakistan's digital landscape.
  • Muddassir Shaffique – Acknowledged for his expertise in telecom and IT solutions, advancing communication systems.
  • Sumera Shams – Awarded for her efforts in politics and social work, focusing on women's empowerment.
  • Hamra Farhan – Recognized for her activism in promoting social justice and gender equality.
  • Farishta Noor – Honored for her contributions to youth development and improving access to education.
  • Talat Azam Khan – Celebrated for his mentorship and leadership within local communities, empowering youth.
  • Rafiullah Kaki – Recognized for his work in education as a dedicated teacher and trainer.
  • Waqas Bloodwala – Honored for organizing blood donation drives and raising awareness about blood donation.

Pride of Nation Award

Hisham Sarwar, renowned for his contributions to Pakistan's freelance industry and digital economy, Sarwar received the prestigious Pride of Nation Award for his unwavering dedication to empowering youth and promoting Pakistan's digital transformation on the global stage.[3]

The awardees exemplify dedication and innovation in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. It is hoped that more outstanding leaders will continue to be showcased, inspiring future generations in Pakistan.[4]
