Shamil Rural District (Persian: دهستان شميل) is in Shamil District of Bandar Abbas County, Hormozgan province, Iran.[3] Its capital is the village of Shamil.[4]
Demographics

[edit]At the time of the 2006 National Census, the rural district's population (as a part of Takht District) was 22,280 in 4,949 households.[5] There were 24,154 inhabitants in 6,198 households at the following census of 2011.[6] The 2016 census measured the population of the rural district as 24,268 in 6,924 households. The most populous of its 56 villages was Hasan Langi-ye Bala, with 1,943 people.[2]
After the census, the rural district was separated from the district in the establishment of Shamil District, which was divided into two rural districts, including the new Hasan Langi Rural District.[3]
