When hazardous elements or energy are released into the environment and produce negative changes, it is referred to as pollution[1]. These "pollutants" can be energy-related things like heat or loud noises, or they can be physical things like chemicals or garbage. Pollution can have a negative impact on human health and upset ecosystems' natural equilibrium.[2]
