The surname Pletschette is quite uncommon, with historical records predominantly tracing its roots to Luxembourg and Belgium. Genealogical evidence connects individuals with this surname to places like Bonnert in Belgium and Grosbous in Luxembourg.

In France, the name has been particularly rare. Between 1891 and 1990, only 24 births were registered with the surname Pletschette, spanning just six departments. ^[1]
