Draft:Pileati

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Pileati were the name of the aristocracy class in Dacian society during the years of the Roman conquests of Trajan. The term Pileari is thought to be a Roman designation, and the term (tarabostes) is more likely that which was used by the Daciens themselves. They were contrasted from the common people (comati) who made up the majority of the population.
