Northern Cyprus is a country developed in many visual arts and especially in photography. There are many photographic art societies and associations in the country. Northern Cyprus has famous photographers. The unique geography and historic streets of the island of Cyprus inspire visitors to capture it through photography. and it can be seen that people of all ages are engaged in photography on the streets.
Rauf Denktaş, the founding president of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, was a photography enthusiast He would take photographs of every landscape and person he found. He had a darkroom in his own house.[1]

[edit]There is a photography program called Vizör, hosted by Hasan Bağlar, which started broadcasting on BRT on October 6, 2022 and is broadcast every week.[3]
Photography Education
[edit]Arkin University of Creative Arts and Design (ARUCAD) has a photography department. Additionally, many municipalities and associations on the island offer photography courses.
