[edit]Paula Mueller (born December 1, 2005),[1][2] also known as Pau Mueller, is a Swiss-Cuban singer-songwriter. Her songs span different styles, including Urban pop, Latin pop and reggaeton.[3][4]
Paula Mueller began composing songs in her teenage years and, at age 16, Paula released her first single “The Fall".[5] Since mid-2022, the singer has released the urban tracks "Bandida"[6] "Break", "Lokera", "Turista" and "UBI", all songs composed by urban artist and producer Oscar Eduardo Hernandez Villegas, better known as Oscarcito or Yakozuki, author of several hit songs with artists such as Jennifer Lopez and Ricky Martin, among others.[7][8]
Early life and family
[edit]Paula Mueller was born on December 1, 2005, in Zürich, Switzerland. Daughter to a Cuban mother and a Swiss father, Paula spent most of her early education in Havana, Cuba, and is fluent in English, Spanish and Swiss-German. In 2020, Paula returned to Switzerland.[9]
From an early age, Paula showed a big interest in music. As a child, she started playing piano and guitar, and she regularly performed at the International School of Havana's annual Summer and Christmas Concerts. In 2019, when she was 14, Paula participated in the Vocalstar Song contest in Los Angeles, taking home 3rd place in the “Best New Artist Teen” category.[10]

"Spring Flowers"[16] was her next release in May 2022, a track featuring a quartet of guitar, bass, drums, and piano playing smooth Bossa Nova rhythms which currently has more than 50 thousand views on YouTube.[17]
In an interview published in April 2022, Paula Mueller indicated that Camilla Cabello, Harry Styles and Amy Winehouse are her biggest musical influences and expressed a desire to get more into Latin music.[18]
A few months later, in October 2022, Pau released her first Spanish-language single, "Bandida". This song marked her foray into the urban genre and currently has more than 220 thousand plays on YouTube. This song was written by producer and songwriter Oscar Hernandez, also known as Yakozuki.[19]
