Paqueta Crisps FC is a football club based on Paquetá Island. The club was founded in 2023, and they currently play in USTA SUNDAY LEAGUE. The club is known for its world class players as well as its legendary managerial staff.
History
[edit]Foundation and Early Years
[edit]The club was initially founded at the beginning of 2023 after a meeting between key members of what would eventually become The Crisps. MAGA, Cash Money, and Shibz entered negotiations with Brazilian footballer Lucas Paqueta who agreed to a roughly $145 million dollar fee to see the club join the USTA SUNDAY LEAGUE, initially in Division 2.
Rise to Prominence
[edit]The club’s first season in semester 2 of 2023 saw the emergence of multiple players who would go on to become Paqueta legends. The likes of Fein Fein, Bobicus and Big Red still have songs that are sung about them to this day in the Arena de la Isla Paqueta. Despite high hopes, the club ultimately failed to gain promotion to Division 1, and will begin the 2024 season once again in Division 2.
Stadium
[edit]Name: Arena de la Isla Paqueta Location: Paquetá Island Capacity: 5 Human Beings The Arena de la Isla Paqueta is situated right on the eastern coast of Paqueta Island and currently only has a capacity of 5 human beings. Expansions have been discussed for the arena, however due to Lucas Paqueta’s ongoing betting scandal, funds appear to be frozen for the time being.
Supporters
[edit]The club’s players and staff are known to frequent local pubs before matchday, and are well liked among the community do to their constant willingness to sign shirts and take photos.
The ‘Crisps Ultras’ attend every Paqueta Crisps FC match and have even been banned from attendance due to the illegal use of pyrotechnics.
Rivalries
[edit]The club’s most notable rival is Gilport Lions F.C.. The rivalry can be attributed to a fight between some of the Crisps players and BMC reserve player “BQ”. The rivalry is ongoing and the two sides have yet to meet in the league.
Crest and Colors
[edit]The club’s crest features a green salt and vinegar Walkers package with an image of owner Lucas Paqueta on the center. The club plays in a black kit and its colors are green, black and yellow.
