Navalny was born on April 9, 1983.
His father, Anatoly Ivanovich Navalny (born January 28, 1947), was born and graduated from school in Zalissya (formerly Chornobyl district, now Vyshgorod district, Kyiv region) of the Ukrainian SSR, after graduating from the Kyiv Military School of Communications received an appointment near Moscow.[3] Grandfather — Ivan Tarasovych — was a carpenter and almost all his life, like his wife Tetiana Danylivna, worked at a local collective farm in Zaliss.[4] There were many relatives of Navalny in the village of Zalisya.
His mother, Lyudmila Ivanovna (born April 4, 1954), comes from rural areas from under Zelenograd, Moscow region, studied at the Moscow Institute of Management named after Sergo Ordzhonikidze, worked as a laboratory assistant at the Zelenograd Research Institute of Microdevices, married Anatoly Ivanovich Navalny in 1975, after graduating from the institute worked as an economist, since 1987 — Deputy Director for Economics.[5]
In 2005, he graduated from the Financial Academy under the Government of the Russian Federation. No later than 2008, he began working as the head of the department of internal postal items of the branch of the Federal State Unitary Enterprise "Post of Russia".[6] Since the fall of 2012 — First Deputy General Director of EMS Russian Post — branch of FSUE Russian Post, responsible for automating the process of sorting letters and parcels. He has not worked for the Russian Post since May 30, 2013.
