Obidoul Haque Bhuiyan known as Sabuj Obidoul (born 25 February 1997 [officially registered on May 15, 1997]) is a Bangladeshi Volunteer, Youth Lead, communication specialist, Research Assistant, and social development worker. He completed his undergraduate studies in Sociology at Green University of Bangladesh. His academic background fostered a deep interest in social research, and he aspires to pursue a career in social development and research.
Early life
[edit]Sabuj Obidoul was born on February 25, 1997 (officially registered on May 15, 1997) in Sheikhkandi village, Noagaon Union, under Sonargaon Thana in Narayanganj district, Bangladesh. Growing up in this village, Sabuj developed an early interest in social issues, which later influenced his decision to pursue Sociology at Green University of Bangladesh. His formative years were shaped by a keen awareness of his surroundings and the desire to impact his community positively. His upbringing in Sonargaon fostered a sense of social responsibility, and he became involved in local initiatives at a young age.
Education
[edit]Sabuj Obidoul passed his Secondary School Certificate and Higher Secondary School Certificate exams in 2014 and 2016 from Burumdi A L M H High School and Sonargaon Ideal College. He also graduated in Sociology from Green University of Bangladesh. Alongside his studies, he worked for Sneh Digital Limited, a sister concern of the renowned Abdul Monem Ltd., for 3 years as a team lead in the Digital Sales and Customer Communication Department. Before this, he also gained experience working at a digital marketing agency and a radio station.
Social and Voluntary Work
[edit]In addition to his professional career, Sabuj Obidoul is actively involved in various voluntary organizations and youth-led groups to create positive social change. He was a committee member for the Dhaka district of Volunteer for Bangladesh, the largest youth organization in Bangladesh. He is also the founder and president of the SONARGAER PROJONMO (a social service organization in Narayanganj) and served as the coordinator of the Narayanganj district for the Obhizatrik Foundation. Currently, he holds the position of Team Lead for the Dhaka Team of Odommo '19 Youth Foundation and is a delegate and member of the Youth for Policy initiative by IID.
He is an Alumni of Amra Notun Network (BRAC youth initiative) recognizing his community project Shunno. He is co-founder of Project Shunno a community-driven initiative based in Bangladesh, aimed at addressing pressing environmental issues, promoting gender equality, and supporting social entrepreneurship. The project is committed to advancing a plastic-free world by advocating for the use of biodegradable products and promoting sustainable practices to protect the environment for future generations.
Skills and Interests
[edit]Sabuj has developed expertise in communication, digital sales, customer relationship management, public relations, team leadership, social activism, policy advocacy, community projects, and women empowerment. He is passionate about social research and deeply interested in contributing to community development projects.
