Ope Ilu is a town in ifo local government Area of Ogun State Nigeria, Ope ilu is an Awori Kingdom and has been in existence as far back as the 17 century when the founder migrated from Ile Ife to Iga Itawo in Iwaye Otta and continued to hunt to Mapara Forest where he built small hurt, he later settled there with his family member they hunt and farm on this same land named after the founder ope ilu as far back 1814 today ope ilu town is full of social and education amenites that lead to the development of the settlement such as ope ilu community primary and secondary school, health center, market all named after the founder, the hunter ope ilu with many other private school Church, markets, hotel, Lagos State railway Line, Federal government railway garages and parks and many other social amenities that make up a town, Chief Adisa Sodeeq Adebare Opaleye is the present Baale and Oba elect of ope ilu town, he is a businessman and politician.
