Northside High School is a public high school serving grades 9 through 12 and is located in rural Tuscaloosa County, in the community known as Samantha approximately 13 miles north of the city limits of Northport.
History
[edit]The school opened in 1958 with the closing and combining of Montgomery High School and Gorgas High School. A new high school building was built in 2003 slightly north of the original school and turning the old high school into Northside Middle School. The school originally taught students in grades 7 - 12, however in 2003 with a new high school building and creation of a new Middle school, the school began teaching only grades 9 - 12.
