Nicholas Marshall (born 21 September 1984) Nicholas Marshall is a Spanish rugby international Spain. He played for the National 15 a side a 7s rugby sevens.[1] He competed in the World Rugby Sevens Series
Club Career
[edit]Marshall was born in Hawke's Bay, New Zealand, and attended Napier Boys' High School, where he won the National First XV Championship (New Zealand). In 2002, he was selected for the Hurricanes Secondary Schools Representative team.[2]
In 2003, Marshall signed with the Wellington Rugby Football Union academy, before transferring to the Hawke's Bay Magpies for the 2004–2005 season.[3]
International career
[edit]Marshall earned his first start for the Spanish team in 2011, making his debut against Romania in May.[4]
In 2011, he debuted for the Spanish National Sevens side playing on the World Rugby Sevens Series.[5]
Coaching Career
[edit]In 2012, Marshall joined Club Atlético San Sebastián as the Technical Director and head Coach.
That same year, he also took on the role of head coach and selector for the Basque Women's Olympic 7s Program, overseeing a squad that several players went on to represent Spain in international competitions over the following years.[7]
In 2019, Marshall was appointed head coach of the senior women's team at La Única Rugby Taldea.[8]
In 2021, he returned to Club Atlético San Sebastián, where he currently serves as the Technical Director.
