  The Nelson Marina is a 60-slip docking pier in Nelson, British Columbia, Canada. ^[1] It has a large canopy, a swimming area and the historic vessel ladybird.^[2] It was funded by a $1000000 (CAD) grant from the British Colombian government.^[3]

History

   It sits on land previously stated for use by the Kutenai Landing development project.^[4]
  In September 2019, Nelson City Council made the decision that 30 of the Marina’s docking slips would be for non-motorized vessels only. This decision was based on a public hearing in which points about noise and air pollution were raised. ^[5]
